Mechanism Of Action Of Strepsils:

When you suck on a lozenge, it starts to dissolve and release medicine.

It is intended to dissolve slowly in the mouth to temporarily suppress the cough, and lubricate and soothe irritated tissues of the throat.

Some have medications that help fight colds, and most have anesthetics to help ease the pain.
Therapeutic Indications Of Strepsils:

It is used for the topical treatment of gingivitis, oral infections, sores, fungal infections, inflammation of the oral cavity as a result of dental procedures, and inflammation of the tongue, tonsils, and nasopharynx to maintain hygiene.
Method Of Administration Of Strepsils:
- Dissolve one tablet in the mouth 3 times daily after meals, with an interval between doses of 2 hours.
- Children from 5–12 years: 1/2 to one tablet twice daily.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
