What this product is and what it is used for Dusta is a prescription medicine that contains dutasteride. Dusta is used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate to: Improve symptoms Reduce the risk of acute urinary retention (a complete blockage of urine flow) Reduce the risk of the need for BPH-related surgery How to use this product Take 1 Dusta capsule once a day. Swallow Dusta capsules whole. Do not crush, chew, or open Dusta capsules because the contents of the capsule may irritate your lips, mouth, or throat. You can take Dusta with or without food. Possible side effects Trouble getting or keeping an erection (impotence) A decrease in sex drive Ejaculation problems Enlarged or painful breasts Warnings and Precautions Before you take Dusta, tell your healthcare provider if you: Have liver problems How to store this product Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 30°C. Store in the original package in order to protect from light. Dusta may become deformed and/or discolored if kept at high temperatures. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package after “EXP”. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not use this medicine if your capsules are deformed, discolored, or leaking. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
