Product Description:

• Avodart is used to treat men who have an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).
• Which is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland caused by an overproduction of the hormone dihydrotestosterone. 

Uses:

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia-BPH.

Precautions and warnings:

• Please do not crush or chew the capsules.
• To maximize the benefits of this drug, use it on a daily basis.
• To help you remember, take it at the same time every day.
• Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid using this medication since it can be absorbed through the skin and harm an unborn baby.

Side effects:

• Hives, similar to nettle rash, can cause swelling in the eyes, face, lips, arms, or legs.
• If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your doctor right once and stop using Avodart.
• Continue after stopping Avodart.
• Breast enlargement or discomfort (gynecomastia).
• Dizziness when combined with tamsulosin.

Ingredients and Concentration:

• Each capsule contains 0.5 mg of dutasteride dissolved in a caprylic/capric acid mono-di-glyceride and butylated hydroxytoluene solution.
• Inactive excipients in the capsule shell include gelatin (from certified BSE-free bovine sources), glycerin, and ferric oxide (yellow).

How to Use:

• The recommended dose of Avodart is one capsule (0.5 mg) taken orally once daily.
• The capsules should be consumed whole rather than chewed or opened, as contact with the capsule contents may cause irritation of the oropharyngeal mucosa.
