What Betazol cream is used for:

  • This medicine contains two active ingredients: betamethasone dipropionate and miconazole nitrate.
  • Betamethasone dipropionate, a topical corticosteroid, reduces inflammation, itching, and redness of the skin.
  • Miconazole nitrate is a type of drug known as "topical antifungals" that is used to treat fungal skin infections.
  • This medication is used for the short-term treatment of various skin fungal infections that cause inflammation, itching, and redness. 

Do not use Betazol cream:

  • If you have an allergy to Betamethasone di-propionate, other corticosteroids, miconazole nitrate or any of the ingredients present in this product.
  • If the package is ripped or has signs of tampering.
  • If the expiry date mentioned on the medication box has passed.
  • If you experience an allergic reaction or skin irritation upon use of this cream. 
  • If you may be suffering from other skin problems (e.g. viral skin infections like herpes simplex or chicken pox, bacterial skin infections, acne, nappy rash, skin inflammation around the mouth, other skin infections or rosacea which is a skin problem that affects the face).
  • The use of this medicine for other skin disorders may worsen your problem. 
  • If you are giving it to a child under 12 years of age. 

Warnings & Precautions of Betazol cream:

  • Betazole Cream should not be used on children younger than one year old.
  • It should be used with caution and for no more than 5 days if applied to the face or children's skin.
  • It absorbs a huge amount of medication and causes side effects. After using it, avoid smoking or keep a safe distance from the flame.

How to use Betazol cream:

  • Apply a little layer of cream to the affected region and gently massage it in, as advised by your doctor.
  • Wash and dry your hands before and after applying the cream/ointment.

How to store Betazol cream:

  • Store below 25°C.
  • Do not refrigerate the container.
  • Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
  • To avoid moisture, store in the original packaging.
  • Do not use this drug after the expiration date listed on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date represents the last day of the month.
