Betaderm Ointment is used to treat some skin issues, such as eczema (a common skin disorder that produces itchy and red skin) and certain types of dermatitis (skin inflammation).

A valid prescription is a must for medicine dispense

What Betaderm Ointment is used for:

  • This drug is used to treat a wide range of skin disorders (eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash).
  • Betamethasone lowers the swelling, itching, and redness that often accompany these illnesses. This drug is a corticosteroid of medium strength.

Do not use Betaderm Ointment:

  • If you are allergic to Betaderm, any other corticosteroid, or any of the chemicals contained in this product.

  • If the package is damaged or shows signs of tampering.

  • If the expiration date on the medication packaging has past.

  • If you suffer an allergic reaction or skin irritation after using this cream/ointment. 

  • If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or breastfeed.

  • If you have any additional skin issues (for example, fungal or bacterial skin infections, anal or vaginal discomfort, cold sores, shingles, chickenpox, skin TB, skin ulcers, acne, or skin inflammation around the mouth).

  • The use of this medication for other skin conditions may exacerbate your condition. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. 
  • If you have weak blood circulation in the skin (to avoid ulcers).
  • In children under the age of one year, unless advised by a doctor.

Warnings and precautions of Betaderm Ointment:

  • Betaderm Cream should not be used on children under one year old.
  • It should be used with caution and for no more than 5 days if applied to the face or children's skin.
  • It absorbs a huge amount of medication and causes side effects. After using it, avoid smoking or keep a safe distance from the flame.

Undesirable Side Effects of Betaderm Ointment:

  • When you first apply this drug to your skin, you may experience stinging, burning, itching, irritation, dryness, or redness.
  • These effects should subside within a few days as your body responds to the drug.

Other medicines and Betaderm Ointment:

  • Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are currently taking, have recently taken, or may take any other drugs, including topical products (e.g., creams, lotions, ointments).  

How to use Betaderm Ointment:

  • Apply a little layer of medication to the affected area and carefully rub it in, typically 1-3 times per day or as instructed by your doctor.
  • Unless ordered by your doctor, do not bandage, cover, or wrap the affected area.
  • Wash your hands after applying the drug, unless you're using it to treat your hands.

How to store Betaderm Ointment:

  • As with other pharmaceuticals, keep this product at room temperature.
  • Keep it in a secure position away from extreme heat, dampness, and direct sunshine. Keep it out of the reach of small children.
  • Make sure any leftovers are safely disposed of.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Precautions While Taking Betaderm Ointment:

  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, suspect you are pregnant, or plan to have a baby, see your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication.
  • Your doctor will review the potential risks and advantages of using this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Advice To Reduce Skin Allergy from Betaderm Ointment:

  • Skin allergy symptoms differ depending on the type and severity of the allergy, but typically include skin redness and itching.

  • If you suffer from skin allergies and itching, consider the following tips to control your symptoms:

    • Avoid contact with any potential allergens, such as particular meals, topical products, clothing fabrics, and even jewelry. Before utilizing any things, ensure that you are aware of your allergens and that they are not present.

    • Avoid skin dryness by utilizing possible. Moisturizer Cream
    • Use an air conditioner and/or a humidifier since when your skin is hot and/or dry, itching tends to worsen.
  • To reduce itching, consider using an ice pack or a light cooling agent (such as a cool washcloth).
