• Asacol 500 mg contains the active ingredient mesalazine and is used as an anti-inflammatory to treat many forms of inflammatory bowel disease. 

Uses:

• It is used to treat many forms of inflammatory bowel disease.
• ASACOL suppositries are used to treat and prevent inflammatory bowel illnesses such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

Precautions and warnings:

• It should not be utilized in people with compromised renal function.
• Mesalazine-induced renal toxicity should be considered if renal function deteriorates during treatment.
