What is amorphous aescin used for:
This medicine is used for the treatment of localized swelling and congestion due to injuries.
Do not take amorphous aescin:
If you are allergic toamorphous aescin, or any of the ingredients inthis medicine.
Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.
If you have kidney problems or kidney failure.
If you have been told by your healthcare professional that you have lactase deficiency, galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, fructose intolerance or saccharase-isomaltase deficiency (this product contains lactose and sucrose).
Warnings and precautions:
Stop the medication right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck, decreased blood pressure and dizziness.
Talk to your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse or are not improving.
Possible side effects :
Although it may be rare, some patients may experience undesirable side effects when taking a medication.
Contact your healthcare provider if you experience any side effect.
Tell your doctor or get medical help right away if you have signs of an allergic reaction, like rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Uncommon side effects of this medicine include gastrointestinal (stomach and bowel) problems.
Other medicines and amorphous aescin:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medications including prescription medicines, over the counter medicines, herbals, vitamins and supplements.
Do not take amorphous aescin:
If you are taking anticoagulants (blood thinners).
If you are taking some types of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections (e.g. aminoglycosides like gentamicin, ampicillin and cephalotin).
How to take amorphous aescin:
Adults and Adolescents older than 14 years of age:
Recommended initial dose is2 tablets orally three times daily.
Recommended dose in milder cases or as a maintenance dose is 1 tablet orally three times daily.
Children between 7 and 14 years of age:
Recommended dose is1 tablet orally 2 or 3 times daily.
Children less than 7 years of age:
Use is not recommended in children less than 7 years of age.
Notes:
Take tablet after meals with some fluid.
Take medication for 2-3 months or as recommended by your healthcare provider.
How to store amorphous aescin:
Keep out of the reach of children and pets
Store medication at room temperature (below 25 °C).
Do not use beyond the expiry date mentioned on the box
Keep medication in its original pack to protect it from moisture and light
Do not use damaged tablets
Do not dispose medication in the wastewater or household waste
