Prexal Description:

An antipsychotic drug called olanzapine is used to treat psychotic disorders in adults and children who are at least 13 years old, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (manic depression). Schizophrenia is a manic depressive disorder; a condition that results in manic periods, depressed episodes, and other aberrant moods.

Therapeutic Uses of Prexal:

• Used to treat schizophrenia.
• Bipolar disorder (manic depression) in adults and children at least 13 years old.

• Hepatic disease.
• Heart disease, hypertension.
• Hypotension.
• Hyperlipidemia.
• Stroke.
• Breast cancer patient.
• Seizure.
• Alzheimer's disease.
• Hyperglycemia or diabetes.
• Enlarged prostate.
• Abdominal pain.
• Narrow-angle glaucoma.

Side effects of Olanzapine:

There could be a :

• Headache, nausea, vomiting.
• Diarrhea, bleeding from the rectal area.
• Stomach pain brought on by colon/rectum irritation or edema.
• Weight gain more in teenagers.
• Memory and speech loss.
• Tremors or shaking, numbness or tingly feeling.
• Changes in personality.
