How to Use:

 

• Follow the directions on the label or your doctor's prescription precisely when using famotidine.
• Oral famotidine is taken by mouth.
• Oral famotidine can be taken with or without meals.
• Although most ulcers cure after 4 weeks of therapy, you may need to take this medication for up to 8 weeks until your ulcer heals. Continue taking the medicine as prescribed.
• Take the medicine as soon as you can.
• skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose.
• Do not take two doses at one time.
• the maximum dose in adults and children over 12 years of age is 40 mg per day unless your doctor prescribes it otherwise.
