• Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used as anti-inflammatory analgesic .
• The drug acts by prevent the  (COX-2) enzyme, which is a natural chemical that contributes in the development of prostaglandins.
• Pain and inflammation are caused by prostaglandins, which are present at sites of damage.
• COX-2 enzymes synthesis are prevented , fewer prostaglandins are released, reducing pain and inflammation.

  • you have  a prolonged bout of vomiting or diarrhea. 
  • you have  fluid retention. 
  • you have a history of heart disease. 
  • you have a history of hypertension cause Etoricoxib can increase blood pressure in some people. 
  • you have any history of liver or kidney disease. 
  • you are being treated for an infection. Etoricoxib can mask or hide a fever, which is a sign of infection. 
  • you have diabetes, high cholesterol, or are a smoker. These can increase your risk of heart disease. 
  • you are a woman trying to become pregnant. 
  • you are over 65 years of age.

How to Use:
 

• Etoricoxib tablets should be taken once a day. 
• You can take your tablet with or without food.
• Taking it without food can make it absorbed more quickly. 
• Arthritis patients, you may take a pill every day for reducing inflammation and pain. 
• Take one tablet a day for up to eight days if you a gout patient.
• If you forget to take your tablet, take it as soon as you remember. 
• If you forget to take the dosage until the next day, just skip the missed dose . 
• Avoid taking double doses.
