Definos 5 mg tablets contain dapagliflozin, an oral medication used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults (18 years and older). It lowers blood sugar by helping the body remove excess glucose through urine.

It is used when diabetes cannot be adequately controlled by diet, exercise, and other medications. It may be used alone if metformin is not tolerated, or with other medicines such as insulin or GLP-1 receptor agonists.
