This medication is used to treat an overactive bladder. By relaxing the muscles in the bladder, tolterodine improves your ability to control your urination. It helps to reduce leaking of urine, feelings of needing to urinate right away, and frequent trips to the bathroom. Therapeutic Indications Of Detrusitol 2 Mg Tablets Tolterodine is a medicine that is used for the treatment of patients with symptoms of overactive bladder syndrome. Overactive bladder syndrome may cause signs like inability to control urination, having the urge to rush to the toilet with no previous warning, and/or frequent urination. Method Of Administration Of Detrusitol 2 Mg Tablets Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose: The usual recommended dose is one 2 mg tablet orally twice daily. Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. Stop the medication right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck, decreased blood pressure, and dizziness.
