Therapeutic Indications Of Caltrate D Tablets Supports the general wellbeing Help you fulfill your nutritional needs and support your everyday health and wellbeing This medicine contains calcium and vitamin D3 which are both essential for healthy bones and teeth. Calcium is used to treat and prevent calcium deficiency which may occur if your diet or lifestyle does not provide enough, or when body requirements are increased. Caltrate D Plus tablets contain calcium in the form of carbonates at a concentration of 600 mg and vitamin D at a concentration of 400 IU, which helps increase the absorption of calcium in addition to a group of minerals essential for health. Caltrate D Plus tablets are used to treat Rickets, Hypoparathyroidism, Osteoporosis, and other conditions that need dietary supplement rich in calcium. Method Of Administration Of Caltrate D Tablets Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Take 1 tablet once to twice daily or as directed by physician Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. Undesirable Side Effects Of Caltrate D Tablets Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from: Allergic reactions Constipation, wind, nausea, stomach ache, diarrhea Hypercalcemia (too much calcium in your blood) or hypercalciuria (too much calcium in your urine) Warnings & Special Precautions While Taking Caltrate D Tablets Before you use this medicine talk to your doctor or pharmacist: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine. If you have or have had a peptic ulcer If you suffer from hepatic disease If you suffer from renal impairment If you suffer from any cardiac disease If you suffer from bronchial asthma If you suffer from diabetes If you have osteoporosis If you have cancer or any other conditions that may have affected your bones. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements. Storage Conditions Of Caltrate D Tablets Store below 25°c Don’t refrigerate Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Store in the original package to protect from moisture. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
