Mechanism Of Action Of Calcium & Vitamin D
Calcium is a mineral found in over-the-counter supplements or prescription formulations used for the treatment of specific medical conditions related to calcium deficiency.

Method Of Administration Of Bio-Cal D Capsules
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults, elderly, and children over 12 years of age: Take 1 capsule once to twice daily or as directed by a physician
Children under 12: Do not give to children under 12 years.
Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

Undesirable Side Effects Of Bio-Cal D Capsules
Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
Allergic reactions
Constipation, wind, nausea, stomach ache, diarrhea
Hypercalcemia (too much calcium in your blood) or hypercalciuria (too much calcium in your urine)

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Storage Conditions Of Bio-Cal D Capsules
Store below 25°c
Don’t refrigerate
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.

Normal Range
The body is set to have a normal amount of calcium (somewhere between 8.6 to 10.3 mg/dL).
A vitamin D level of 20 nanograms/milliliter to 50 ng/mL is considered adequate for healthy people. A level less than 12 ng/mL indicates vitamin D deficiency.
Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different labs. Talk to your provider about the meaning of your test results.
