Betmiga 50 mg is a bladder muscle relaxant (also known as a beta 3-adrenoceptor agonist) that lowers the activity of an overactive bladder and treats.

What Betmiga 50 mg?

  • Betmiga is a medication that contains the active ingredient mirabegron.
  • It is available in prolonged-release tablets (25 mg and 50 mg).
  • Mirabegron is slowly released from the tablet over a few hours, as indicated by the term "prolonged-release."
  • Etmiga is used to treat adults with overactive bladder syndrome.

How to use Betmiga 50 mg:

  • The suggested dosage is one 50 mg tablet taken orally once daily.
  • If you have kidney or liver problems, your doctor may need to reduce your dosage to one 25 mg tablet taken orally once a day.
  • This medication should be taken with beverages and the tablet swallowed whole.
  • Don't crush or chew the tablet.

Warnings And Precautions of Betmiga 50 mg:

  • Avoid taking BETMIGA if you are allergic to any medicine containing mirabegron.
  • An allergic reaction may include the following symptoms:
    • Shortness of breath.
    • Wheezing or trouble breathing.
    • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and other body parts.
    • Rash, itching, or hives on your skin.

Do not take Betmiga 50 mg:

  • If you have extremely high blood pressure (systolic > 180mmHg and/or diastolic > 110mmHg).
  • If you're not sure if you should start taking this medication, consult your doctor.
  • Before you start taking it.
  • Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any other medications, foods, preservatives, or dyes.
  • Inform your doctor if you have or have had any of the following medical conditions.
  • Kidney issues.
  • Liver issues.
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Heart abnormalities, including an irregular heartbeat, an aberrant electrical signal in the heart that can induce an irregular heart rhythm called "prolongation of the QT interval", or if you are taking any medicine known to cause irregular heart rhythm (see 'Taking other medicines')
  • Trouble emptying your bladder or have a weak urine stream
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  • Your doctor can explain the dangers and benefits.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Precautions While Taking Betmiga 50 mg:

  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, suspect you are pregnant, or plan to have a baby, see your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication.
  • Your doctor will review the potential risks and advantages of using this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Non-Pharmacological Treatments & Advice To Control The Amount Of Urine:

  • Fluid management: Drinking enough fluids is essential for staying hydrated, but restricting fluid consumption in the evening can help lower the volume of urine generated throughout the night.
  • Bladder training: Gradually extending the duration between urinations can help stretch and strengthen the bladder muscles, increase bladder capacity, and reduce frequency of pee.
  • Timed voiding: Taking regular toilet breaks, even if you don't feel the need to go, can help train your bladder to empty at regular intervals and lower your frequency of urinating.
  • Pelvic floor exercises: Kegel exercises can assist strengthen the pelvic muscles that govern urine, improving bladder control and reducing frequency of use.

  • Betmiga 50 mg prolonged-release tablets Each tablet contains 50 mg of mirabegron.

What you need to know before taking Betmiga 50 mg:

  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Betmiga.
  • If you have difficulty emptying your bladder, have a weak urine stream, or are taking other medications for overactive bladder, such as anticholinergics.
  • If you have kidney or liver issues.

Possible side effects of Betmiga 50 mg:

  • Constipation. Drink plenty of water and eat more fiber-rich foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals.
