Product Name Stalevo 50Mg/12.5Mg/200Mg, For Parkinson - 30 Tablets Scientific Name Levodopa 50 Mg, Carbidopa 12.5 Mg, And Entacapone 200 Mg Tablets Category Of Stalevo 50Mg/12.5Mg/200Mg Tablets Parkinson Drugs Mechanism Of Action Of Levodopa, Carbidopa, And Entacapone The combination of Levodopa, Carbidopa, And Entacapone is used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease Levodopa acts by increasing the amount of dopamine, whereas carbidopa and entacapone act by enhancing the effects of levodopa against Parkinson's disease Therapeutic Indications Of Stalevo 50Mg/12.5Mg/200Mg Tablets It is used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s disease is triggered by decreased levels of dopamine in the brain. Parkinson’s disease symptoms include: Tremor in hands, arms, legs, jaw, or head. Muscle stiffness, where muscle remains contracted for a long time. Slowness of movement. Impaired balance and coordination, sometimes leading to falls. Method Of Administration Of Stalevo 50Mg/12.5Mg/200Mg Tablets Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Doses may change from patient to patient based on your age, your medical condition, and whether or not you are taking other medicines. Continue taking your medicine for as long as your doctor tells you. Do not stop taking the medicine or lower the dose without first checking with your doctor. Stopping your medicine suddenly or lowering the dose may cause unwanted side effects or make your condition worse. Take your dose with or without food. Try not to take it with, or shortly after eating protein-rich food (such as meats, fish, dairy products, seeds, and nuts). Take it at the same time every day. Do not stop taking your medication without consulting your doctor. If you are taking tablets, swallow them with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. Warnings & Special Precautions While Taking Stalevo 50Mg/12.5Mg/200Mg Tablets Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck, decreased blood pressure, and dizziness. Talk to your doctor if you experience any signs or symptoms of heart problems such as shortness of breath, fatigue upon exertion, chest pain, peripheral swelling, or fast or slow heart rate. Contact your doctor if you experience unusual changes in behavior or mood, appearance or worsening of depression, or suicidal thoughts. Contact your doctor if you experience liver problems like dark urine, feeling tired, not hungry, upset stomach or stomach pain, light-colored stools, throwing up, or yellow skin or eyes. Contact your doctor if you experience signs of blood problems, like bleeding, delayed wound healing, easy bruising, feeling tired or dizzy, fever, and looking pale. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements.
