Pyrazinamide is an antibiotic used to kill or stop the growth of certain bacteria that cause tuberculosis in adults and children. It must be used with other medicines to treat tuberculosis until the disease does not become resistant to treatment.
It should be noted that pyrazinamide should not be used in patients with active gout or severe liver disease.

How to take:

Once a day, or 2 - 3 times a week when higher doses are used.
Dosage:
Adults —1,000 to 2,000 milligrams (mg) once a day, 1,500 to 3,000 mg three times a week, or 2,000 to 4,000 mg twice a week, depending on your weight.
Children: 15-30 mg/kg once a day, with a total dose not exceeding 2,000 mg, or 50 mg/kg twice a week, with a total dose not exceeding 3,000 mg.

During pregnancy:
