Product description:

• Protogyn 500mg contains tinidazole that used to treat bacterial infections, including vaginal or intestinal infections. Additionally, several sexually transmitted illnesses are treated with it.

Uses of the Protogyn:

• Used against obligatory anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
• Trichomonas vaginali.
• Entamoeba histolytica.
• Giardia lamblia.

Common drug interaction of Tinidazole:

• Avoid taking tinidazole, If you have taken disulfiram within the last two weeks or if you are concurrently taking disulfiram.

How to take Protogyn:

• Should be taken with food.
• Take during or immediately after meals.
  
• Once a day for 3 to 5 days.

Mechanism of action of protogyn:

• With antibacterial properties identical to metronidazole, tinidazole is a 5-nitroimidazole derivative that exhibits activity against obligatory anaerobic bacteria as well as protozoa, including Trichomonas vaginalis, Entamoeba histolytica, and Giardia lamblia.

• It breaks down DNA strands or prevents microorganisms from synthesizing new DNA.

How to store Protogyn:

• Stored at room temperature below 25°C. 
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the carton label or blister strip.
• Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
