What is Preterax Tab:

• Preterax tabs is an antihypertensive drug, contains 2 active ingredients Perindopril, which belongs to Angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors that used to treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure and Indapamide that belongs to Diuretics and used in cases of hypertension and heart failure. 

Therapeutic indication of Preterax Tab:

• Used to treat hypertension.
• Used to treat heart failure.

Possible side effect of Preterax Tab:

• Low blood pressure.
• Bronchospasm.
• Irregular heart rate.
• pain in the jaw.
• Headache.
• Eye problems.
• Pins and needle sensation.
• Nausea, vomiting.
• Abdominal pain.
• Muscles cramps. 

Warnings & Special Precautions while Taking Preterax Tablets:

• If you have an allergy to perindopril, or any other ACE inhibitor, indapamide or any other sulfonamides, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have previously experienced angioedema, to perindopril or another ACE inhibitor.
• Angioedema is a condition that is manifested by signs and symptoms like swelling of the face, throat, or tongue, wheezing, intense itching, or severe skin rashes.
• If a family member has previously experienced angioedema to perindopril or another ACE Inhibitor.
• Talk to your doctor if you have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (heart muscle problem), aortic stenosis (the main blood vessel that leads to the heart becoming narrowed), or renal artery stenosis (artery supplying blood to the kidney becomes narrow).

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Precautions While Taking Preterax Tablets:

• Not recommended during pregnancy, specially in the first 3 months.

How to take Preterax Tab:

• Daily dose recommended by the health care is 1 Tablet daily.
• Dose may be increase to 2 Tablets.

Active Ingredient and concentration:

• Perindopril 2.5 mg.
• Indapamide 0.625 mg.

Category Of Preterax Tablets:

• Anti-Hypertensive Drugs.

Normal blood pressure range:

• Normal blood pressure range is 120/80mmHg.
• Hypertensive crisis range, more than 180/120mmHg.

Number of Tablets:

• 30 Tablets.

How to store Preterax Tablets:

• Stored at room temperature below 25°C. 

• Keep away from children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the carton label or blister strip.

• Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
