Product Description:

Onglyza is an oral diabetes medication that regulates blood sugar levels. It works by controlling the amount of insulin your body produces after eating.

Uses:

Onglyza is used in combination with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar management in persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Precautions and warnings:

• If you have diabetic ketoacidosis, do not use Onglyza. 
  
• Onglyza is not intended to treat type 1 diabetes.
  
• If you have kidney disease or are on dialysis, talk to your doctor before using this medication.

Side effects:

• Painful urination.
• Headache.
• Runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, cough.
• Swelling in your hands or feet.

Ingredients:

saxagliptin.

Concentration:

5mg  saxagliptin.

Pharmacological classification:

Anti hyperglycemic medication.

Number of Tablets:

How to Use:

Usual Adult Dose for Diabetes Type 2: 

2.5 or 5 mg orally once a day, regardless of meals.

Storage Conditions:

• Stored at room temperature below 25°C.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the carton label or blister strip.
• Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
