Product Description:

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic work by inhibiting the last transpeptidation stage of peptidoglycan production in bacterial cell walls by binding to one or more penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), hence decreasing cell wall biosynthesis and causing bacterial lysis used to kill harmful bacteria that lead to infection.

Uses:

• Bacterial infections Pharyngitis, acute otitis media, acute bacterial sinusitis, endocarditis, and anthrax.
• Chlamydial cervicitis, Chlamydial urethritis, Lyme disease, Dental abscess, Salmonellosis, Typhoid fever.
• Acute uncomplicated gonorrhea.
• Infections of the Lower Respiratory Tract, Skin and Skin Structure.
• Genitourinary Tract, Ear, Nose, and Throat.

Precautions and warnings:

• Renal and hepatic disease.
• Pregnancy and  lactation.
• Infectious mononucleosis.
• Lactation: Excreted in breast milk, use with caution.

Side effects:

• Hyperactivity, agitation, sleeplessness.
• Dizziness; maculopapular rash, exfoliative dermatitis, urticaria.
• Hypersensitivity vasculitis; diarrhea, nausea, vomiting; anaemia.
• Thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, and agranulocytosis.
• Potentially fatal conditions include neuromuscular hypersensitivity and pseudomembranous colitis.
