Product Description: 

Nucala 100 mg solution for injection in vial the active ingredient is mepolizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells by recombinant DNA technology. indicated as an add-on therapy for severe refractory eosinophilic asthma in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and older. 
 
Uses: 

• Severe eosinophilic asthma. 
• Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. 
• Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA). 
• Hyper eosinophilic syndrome (HES). 

Precautions and warnings: 

• Asthma-related adverse symptoms or exacerbations may occur during treatment. 
• Discontinuation of corticosteroids after initiation of mepolizumab therapy is not recommended gradual stop is recommended. 
• Stop using mepolizumab if you have a Hypersensitivity reaction to it. 

Side effects: 

• May suffer from eczema (itchy red patches on the skin) at the site of injection. 
• back pain. 
• Tiredness. 
• sore throat. 
• Cough. 
• stuffy nose. 
• Stomach pain. 
• urinary tract infection. 
• High temperature.

How to Use: 

• Remove vial from package and put it on clean flat surface.  
• Choose injection site then clean it with an alcohol wipe and wait till dry then start injecting.

• Keep away from children. 
• Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
