This belongs to a class of medicines known as "Thiazide Diuretic". MONOZIDE helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention so lowers blood pressure and gets rid of extra salt and water in the body. This medicine used: To treat Fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver or kidney disorders or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen. To treat high blood pressure (hypertension) How to use this product: Always take MONOZIDE exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. It is important to keep taking MONOZIDE every day. You can take MONOZIDE with or without food. Swallow the tablet with a drink of water. Take MONOZIDE early in the day Try to take the tablet at the same time each day. This will help you to remember to take it. Possible side effects: If you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat. If you get any of these, see your doctor immediately What you need to know before you use this product: Do not take MONOZIDE: If you have anuria that means inability to urinate If you have high blood sugar (diabetes), this drug may sometimes raise blood sugar. If you have liver disease If you have Kidney disease If you have glaucoma How to use this product: Store below 25°c Don’t refrigerate Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
