Product Name Levon 750 Mg, Antibiotic, Reduce Bacterial Infections - 5 Tablets Scientific Name Levofloxacin 750 Mg Tablets Category Of Levon 750 Mg Tablets Antibacterial Drugs Mechanism Of Action Of Levofloxacin Levofloxacin is a bactericidal antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class. It inhibits DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerase and DNA-gyrase which are necessary to separate bacterial DNA, thereby inhibiting cell division. Therapeutic Indications Of Levon 750 Mg Tablets It is indicated in the treatment of adult patients with bacterial infections in the following body parts: Lungs and bronchi Urinary tract (bladder and kidneys) Sinuses Prostate Skin and soft tissues Method Of Administration Of Levon 750 Mg Tablets Take a tablet with or without food. Take a tablet with a full glass of water. Take at the same time every day. Do not take more or less than prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking your medication prior to the end of prescribed duration even if you start feeling better. Drink a lot of fluids while taking this medication. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. The dose will depend on the severity and type of infection Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. Undesirable Side Effects Of Levon 750 Mg Tablets Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from: headache nausea insomnia (difficulty sleeping) constipation dizziness Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Precautions While Taking Levon 750 Mg Tablets If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. This medication may increase the risk of tendonitis (inflammation of the cords that attach muscle to bone). Contact your doctor in case of muscle or joint pain and stiffness. Make sure to tell your doctor if you are 60 years of age or older, are taking steroids, or have kidney, heart or lung transplants. This medication may cause blood problems such as thrombocytopenia This medication may cause tingling and numbness in your peripheries. If this happens, make sure to tell your doctor in order to prevent irreversible damage to the nerves. Make sure to tell your doctor about other medications that you are taking to prevent QT prolongation (a heart problem that causes a type of irregular rhythm) from happening. Make sure to tell your doctor if you have low potassium levels in your blood or other heart problems. This medication may cause hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia if you are diabetic. Make sure to monitor glucose levels on a regular basis in case of diabetes. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements Storage Conditions Of Levon 750 Mg Tablets Store below 25°c Don’t refrigerate Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
