Ask your doctor to explain any aspect that you do not understand, contained in the instruction leaflet that comes with the medicine. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment; Do not stop taking before or prolong more than prescribed by your doctor. The duration of this treatment is limited. Your doctor will indicate the duration of the treatment and how to increase the dose. Do not stop treatment abruptly since may reappear symptoms of your illness. The dose is different depending on the illness you suffer: As a rule, the usual dose is: Adults: The recommended dose is 3 to 6 capsules per day (50 mg). In Vertigo: It can be increased up to 9 capsules per day. Divide the whole dose into three doses throughout the day, preferably administered prior to the meals. If you use the oral solution: 2-4 dosing cups (150-300 mg) per day. Sulpiride should be taken at least two hours before antacids and sucralfate. Elderly: Elderly patients may have higher sulpiride blood level than expected. Therefore, these patients need a lower starting dose and a more gradual titration than young adults.
