Product Description: What Beclometasone/Formoterol is used for: Asthma & COPD Beclometasone/Formoterol is indicated in the regular treatment of asthma in adult patients and can also be used to treat the symptoms of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adult patients. Do not use Beclometasone/Formoterol: if you are allergic or think you are allergic to one or other of the active ingredients of Beclometasone/Formoterol. Warnings and Precautions: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist or nurse before using Beclometasone/Formoterol: If you have any heart problems If you have an overactive thyroid gland If you have low blood levels of potassium If you have any disease of your liver or kidneys If you have diabetes Possible Side Effects: As with other inhaler treatments there is a risk of worsening shortness of breath and wheezing immediately after using Beclometasone/Formoterol and this is known as paradoxical bronchospasm. If this occurs, you should STOP using Beclometasone/Formoterol immediately. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any hypersensitivity reactions like skin allergies. Other medicines with Beclometasone/Formoterol : Do not Beclometasone/Formoterol together with: medicines for treating abnormal heart rhythms medicines for treating symptoms of depression or mental disorders medicines for treating Parkinson’s Disease (L-dopa), underactive thyroid gland (L-thyroxine), medicines for treating heart disease (digoxin) How to use Beclometasone/Formoterol: Asthma a) Using Beclometasone/Formoterol together with a separate “reliever”: The recommended dose of this medicine is one or two puffs twice daily. The maximum daily dose is 4 puffs. b) Using Beclometasone/Formoterol as your only asthma inhaler: The recommended dose is one puff in the morning and one puff in the evening. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) The recommended dose is two puffs in the morning and two puffs in the evening. How to store Beclometasone/Formoterol Single pack containing one actuator with 120 doses Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use Beclometasone/Formoterol beyond 3 months from the date you get the inhaler from your pharmacist and never use after the expiry date. Do not store the inhaler above 25 °C. Double pack containing two actuators of 120 doses Before use: store the inhaler in a refrigerator (at 2-8°C). After first use: do not store the inhaler above 25 °C for a maximum of three months. Do not use the inhaler after this period and never use it after the expiry date. Do not freeze. Warning: The canister contains a pressurized liquid. Do not expose the canister to temperatures higher than 50 °C. Do not pierce the canister. Ingredients: Beclometasone/Formoterol 100/6 micrograms per actuation pressurized inhalation solution
