Therapeutic Indications Of FEGONA Capsules Fingolimod is used in adults to treat relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS), more specifically in: Patients who have failed to respond despite treatment with an MS treatment. or Patients who have rapidly evolving severe MS. Fingolimod does not cure MS, but it helps to reduce the number of relapses and to slow down the progression of physical disabilities due to MS. Method Of Administration Of FEGONA Capsules Take fingolimod once a day with a glass of water. Fingolimod can be taken with or without food. Taking fingolimod at the same time each day will help you remember when to take your medicine. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Undesirable Side Effects Of FEGONA Capsules Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from: Headache Diarrhea Nausea Alopecia Increase in Liver enzyme Warnings & Special Precautions While Taking FEGONA Capsules FEGONA may decrease WBC. A recent CBC should be available before starting FEGONA. Monitor for signs and symptoms of infection. Consider suspending treatment with FEGONA in case of serious infection. Do not start Aubagio in patients with active infections. Stop FEGONA if the patient has anaphylaxis, angioedema, stevens-johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, drug reaction with eosinophilia, and systemic symptoms If a patient develops symptoms consistent with peripheral neuropathy, evaluate the patient and consider discontinuing FEGONA. FEGONA may increase blood pressure. Measure blood pressure at treatment initiation and monitor blood pressure during treatment. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements.
