Doxycycline is in a class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of bacteria.

Method Of Administration Of Doxydar 100 Mg Capsules
This medicine is not recommended in children younger than 8 years of age.
Take as indicated by your doctor.
Take with a full glass of water.
If it causes stomach upset, take it with food.
The dosing may depend on the site and severity of your infection.
The usual dosing is 100-200 mg daily depending on the infection.

If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.

Taking this medicine for longer than recommended can lead to a second infection.
