Therapeutic Indications Of DAVLEX 50mg 30 tablets
Depression is a continuing disturbance of mood that interferes with everyday life.
The symptoms of depression vary from one person to another, but often include deep sadness, feelings of worthlessness, loss of interest in favorite activities, sleep disturbances, feeling of being slowed down, feelings of anxiety, and weight changes.
Method Of Administration Of DAVLEX 50mg 30 tablets
Take this medicine by mouth.
Swallow the drug whole with a drink of water. Do not chew it.
Take with or without food
If you feel the effect of your medicine is too weak or too strong, do not change the dose yourself, but ask your doctor.
It may take up to 2 weeks to show the result
The amount of the drug you take will depend on your illness. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
Recommended dose: 50 mg once daily
Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
Hypersensitivity
Effects on blood pressure
Abnormal bleeding
Mydriasis
Hypomania and mania
Serum cholesterol and triglyceride elevation
Seizure
Warnings & Special Precautions While Taking DAVLEX 50mg 30 tablets
Elevated Blood Pressure: Has occurred with desvenlafaxine. Hypertension should be controlled before initiating treatment. Monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment
Abnormal Bleeding: desvenlafaxine may increase the risk of bleeding events. Patients should be cautioned about the risk of bleeding associated with the concomitant use of desvenlafaxine and NSAIDs, aspirin, or other drugs that affect coagulation
Narrow-angle Glaucoma: Mydriasis has occurred with desvenlafaxine. Patients with raised intraocular pressure or those at risk of angle-closure glaucoma should be monitored
Activation of Mania/Hypomania: Has occurred. Use cautiously in patients with bipolar disorder. Caution patients about the risk of activation of mania/hypomania
Cardiovascular/Cerebrovascular Disease: Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease
Cholesterol and Triglyceride Elevation: Have occurred. Use cautiously in patients with lipid metabolism disorders. Consider monitoring serum cholesterol and triglyceride
Discontinuation Symptoms: Have occurred. Taper the dose when possible and monitor for discontinuation symptoms
Renal Impairment: Reduces the clearance of desvenlafaxine. Dosage adjustment is necessary for severe and ESRD. In moderate renal impairment, the dose should not exceed 50 mg/day Seizure: Can occur. Use cautiously in patients with a seizure disorder
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements.
