Product Name Daktarin, Topical Tincture, For For Fungal Infection - 30 Ml Scientific Name Miconazole Topical Solution Category Of Daktarin Topical Tincture Antifungal Topical Preparation Mechanism Of Action Of Miconazole Topical Solution Miconazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus. Therapeutic Indications Of Daktarin Topical Tincture Miconazole is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs Method Of Administration Of Daktarin Topical Tincture Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. Undesirable Side Effects Of Daktarin Topical Tincture Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from: Burning, stinging, swelling, irritation, redness, pimple-like bumps, tenderness, or flaking of the treated skin may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Precautions While Taking Daktarin Topical Tincture If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Your doctor will discuss the possible risks and benefits of using this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Warnings & Special Precautions While Taking Daktarin Topical Tincture Before using miconazole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other azole antifungals such as clotrimazole, econazole, or ketoconazole; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history. Storage Conditions Of Daktarin Topical Tincture Store below 25°c Don’t refrigerate Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Store in the original package to protect from moisture. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
