Product Description:

BONTEO® contains the active ingredient teriparatide, a synthetic form of a natural human hormone that helps stimulate new bone formation. It is specifically designed to strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures in patients with osteoporosis.

Indications:

BONTEO® is prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis in adults who are at high risk of fractures.
This condition is characterized by weak, brittle bones, and is especially common in:

• Postmenopausal women

• Men with osteoporosis

• Patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid therapy

How to Use BONTEO®:

• Always use BONTEO® exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

• The recommended dose is 20 micrograms once daily, administered as a subcutaneous injection in the thigh or abdomen.

• Try to inject BONTEO® at the same time each day to establish a routine.

• Treatment should not exceed 24 months in total over a lifetime.

• Read the user manual included in the package carefully before use.

• Inject shortly after removing the pen from the refrigerator and return it immediately afterward.

Warnings and Precautions:

Do NOT use BONTEO® if you:

• Are allergic to teriparatide or any of the product’s ingredients

• Have high blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia)

• Have severe kidney problems

• Have or had bone cancer, or cancers that spread to bones

• Have unexplained elevated alkaline phosphatase, which may suggest Paget’s disease

• Have undergone radiation therapy to bones

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

Consult your doctor before or during treatment if:

• You experience nausea, vomiting, constipation, fatigue, or muscle weakness (signs of high calcium levels)

• You have a history of kidney stones

• You suffer from moderate kidney impairment

• You feel dizzy or your heart races after the first few doses — inject in a seated or lying position to avoid falls

Important Notes:

• Do not exceed the 24-month treatment duration.

• Not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years.

• Women of childbearing potential must use effective contraception during treatment.

• If pregnancy occurs, stop treatment immediately and consult your doctor.
