What are the uses of Pertego? It is used to treat and reduce symptoms associated with Meniere's disease , including: dizzy spells Tinnitus. Hearing disorder or hearing loss . Nausea.   What are the contraindications for the use of Bertigo? It is forbidden to use the drug without consulting a specialist doctor in the following cases: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of the drug. Pheochromocytoma . Children under 18 years old. Patients with rare hereditary problems, including galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. What are the side effects of Pertego? The medicine may cause some side effects, such as: a headache. Indigestion. nausea. Collywobbles. What are the precautions for using Pertego? Use with caution under the supervision of a physician in the following categories and cases: liver patients. Patients with peptic ulcer , as betahistine may exacerbate the severity of their symptoms. Patients with hives, skin rashes, or allergic rhinitis, as there is a risk of worsening of symptoms. Pregnancy , as there is not enough information available about the safety of using this medicine during pregnancy. Lactation , as it is not known if it is excreted in breast milk. Betahistine and asthmatic patients Betahistine should be used with caution in patients with asthma, especially in patients with bronchial asthma , as they are more likely to develop clinical intolerance to this treatment. They should be closely monitored if they are taking betahistine. Betahistine and heart patients It is recommended for patients with cardiovascular diseases to use the drug with caution, as it may cause a sharp decrease in blood pressure and an increase in heart rate. What are the drug interactions of Bertego? It is recommended to tell the doctor or pharmacist about all medications, herbs, vitamins and nutritional supplements before starting treatment. It is recommended not to concomitantly with the following drugs: Like beta-2 bronchodilators, betahistine may reduce their effect. Monoamine oxidase inhibitor drugs , the concentration of which may be increased by betahistine . Histamine 1 (H1) antihistamines, as mutual mitigation of the effect of both therapies may occur. What is Pertego and how is it used? The usual recommended dose for adults is: Initial dose: 8-16 mg, 3 times daily. Maintenance dose: 24 mg to 28 mg daily, and should not exceed 48 mg. The dose may be adjusted according to the patient's condition. Instructions for taking the medication include: It is preferable to take the dose after food, to avoid stomach upset. Doses should be separated by 6-8 hours. It is recommended to take the dose with a glass of water. What are the dosage forms for Bertego? Tablets: 8 mg, 16 mg, 24 mg. What are the storage conditions for Bertego? Store at room temperature (15-30)°C, away from heat, light, and moisture, and out of reach of children. How to use Pertigo Instructions for some conditions for this treatment include: Missing a dose of betahistine Discontinue betahistine Overdose of betahistine Driving and betahistine Missing a dose of betahistine It is recommended to take the dose immediately when it is remembered, unless the time for taking the next dose is after about 4 hours, then the patient should not take the missed dose. Discontinue betahistine It is advised not to repeat or discontinue betahistine without medical advice. Overdose of betahistine Excess doses may cause serious complications , as a result of which the patient is transferred to the hospital, so the doses specified by the specialist must be adhered to and not exceeded. Driving and betahistine It is recommended not to perform activities that require alertness, such as driving or operating machinery, while under the influence of betahistine.
