Product Description:

Choriogonadotropin alfa promotes late follicular maturation, resume of oocyte meiosis, and rupture of the pre-ovulatory ovarian follicle.

Uses:

• Adult women experiencing superovulation prior to assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such in vitro fertilization (IVF): Ovitrelle is injected to stimulate ultimate follicular maturation and luteinization after stimulating follicular growth. 
• Ovitrelle is given to anovulatory or oligo-ovulatory adult women to stimulate follicular development and induce ovulation and luteinization.

Precautions and warnings:

• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of its excipients.
  
• Tumors of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
  
• Ovarian enlargement or cyst that is not associated with polycystic ovary syndrome.
  
• Gynaecological haemorrhages of unclear cause.
  
• Carcinoma of the ovary, uterus, or breast.
  
• Active Thromboembolic Disorders.
  
• Ovitrelle should not be administered in cases of primary ovarian failure, as it may not provide an effective response.
  
• Incompatible conditions for pregnancy include sexual organ abnormalities, uterine fibroids, and postmenopausal women.
